IMPORTANT

North Carolina Now requires photo ID to vote. If you are voting in-person, you must bring your ID with you when you go to the polling site. If you are voting by mail, you must attach a photocopy of your ID along with your ballot. CatCards can be used as a voter ID as long as your legal name is on the card. Driver’s license can also be used as an ID. Find more information about the types of accepted voter ID at the North Carolina Board of Elections. If you do not have any accepted form of ID, one can be made for you free of charge at your local board of elections.

CCESL is a proud partner with Vote Early Day! On this holiday, we remind the student body to take advantage of the early voting period. When you vote early, you ensure that busy schedules, Election Day lines, transportation barriers, or last minute problems won't stop you from participating in this democratic process. If you're registered to vote in Jackson County, be sure to use the Early Voting Polling Place on campus in the UC Multipurpose Room - open until November 2nd!
